Please note, if an employee receives a negative test result before their quarantine period ends, the employee should continue to quarantine since symptoms may appear 2 to 14 days after initial exposure to the virus. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated employees who have been exposed to COVID-19 should be told to self-quarantine to monitor signs and symptoms of infection (see Alameda County Quarantine Requirements for Non-Fully Vaccinated Individuals). Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated employees who are exposed to COVID-19 should also be encouraged to get tested.
